Reflection 3

FRIDAY,
26th October,2012.

Assalamualaikum and a very good afternoon everyone!!

First of all,,I would like to say "Happy Eidul Adha 2012" to all of the readers out there!!
May Allah save and bless us in every our single steps..;)

Okay,,now I tell you more about what we've done in our previous class during last Tuesday..(23rd October,2012).

TUESDAY,
23rd October,2012.

Today my class start at 10 a.m..while the other class start at 8 a.m..they have a test for Ultiboard. Mine, does not have yet because we did not learn yet about Ultiboard. Just after this we gonna learn about it..and according to my friends,,Ultiboard is more challenger than Multisim. I'm quite nervous knowing that..huhu..@_@..

At 10.15 a.m,,the other class finish their test,,from my observation,,they look happy,,maybe the question given is quite easy thus they can answer it with a broad smile on face..=)

Before start the class,,Mr Redzuan showed us our mark for Multisim test last week. Praised to God,,I got 46.50 out of 50 for the overall mark..^^

Next, Mr Redzuan give us a hand-out paper containing circuit that we will use for Ultiboard. However,,we must draw the circuit using Multisim software first,,and only then we can convert it into Ultiboard. He gave us 15 minutes to draw the circuit into Multisim. Luckily,, I finished it in 15 minutes sharply..haha..

~schematic circuit~

After that,,we must export the circuit into Ultiboard. It's not too difficult at first as we just click 'Transfer' button to make it into Ultiboard and then it will show up all the components that we've drawn. However, be sure that all the components are real components, or else the circuit cannot be convert into Ultiboard. On the left-hand side of the page, there is a toolbox that we use to change the settings of the circuit. For now, Mr Redzuan only asked us to use board outline. Then, he teach us how to change board shape by clicking right-hand side. We can make the shape based on our own creativity.

Before that,,we must 'off' all the top buttons and only 'on' several buttons so that the circuit can functions well. Okay,,after creating our own design of board, the next step is transferring all the components on the board. Be aware with the overlapping of the wire. It can non-function the board. The process is quite tired because we need to check all the wire connected have no errors and use auto route to modified it. If else, we need to alter it again. Green means the wire is truly connected and red means errors occur.

Lastly, Mr Redzuan showed us how to make the board double-sided,, means that we can change the upper components and placed it below the board,,just click 'Properties' button to change it.

That's all for today's session. Next week, Mr Redzuan will teach us more about Ultiboard since he said that we've a few things that we did not learn yet.

Reflection 2

2nd October, 2012

KRIIIIINNNGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
*   It's 6 o'clock already...*
   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

arghhh!!!! how I miss to get up from my bed so much....
with the refreshing and cool air....it seems to be something impossible for me to get up earlier today...
but..I had to..for the sake of my future..
today is my fourth class of Introduction of Electronic System..
thanx to God..I've done my previous classes succesfully...
and today..I'll attend the next class with full of determination!!
yeay!! :)

okay2...stay on the line TEYHA..
don't be too excited..hehe..

my class start at 8 a.m...
no wonder if I've feel too lazy!!
today..our class was held at Electronic Workshop..
it's not at MJIIT building but located next to Dewan Kuliah 4..
this is my first time I go here...
actually..this workshop belongs to Diploma students..but as our own workshop (Degree students) are still under construction..so we've to use theirs...sorry guys..huhu.. ^^

once I arrived there..
there are only a few students who just arrived too..
and I'm glad because Mr Redzuan don't come yet..(means that I'm earlier)..hehe

8 a.m..our class starts..
today..Mr Redzuan had intoduced us to MULTISIM..
hurm..maybe you are wondering too..what is multisim,right??

for your information..(based on Wikipedia)
Multisim is an electronic schematic capture and simulation program which is part of a suite of circuit design programs, along with NI Ultiboard. Multisim is one of the few circuit design programs to employ the original Berkeley SPECE based software simulation. Multisim was originally created by a company named Electronic Workbench which is now a division of National Instruments, Multisim includes microcontroller simulation (formerly known as MultiMCU), as well as integrated import and export features to the Printed Circuit Board layout software in the suite,NI Ultiboard.

from other website said that multisim is a program designed to help users design circuits, capture schematics and identify errors with circuits.

as for me..I think multisim can simply be described as a program that help us in doing electronic job with more efficient, accurate, easier and systematic..

after we were given short briefing about it..Mr Redzuan asks us to do some lab activity..
we were quite nervous as this is our first time using this software..NI Multisim 10.1.
it is a software where we can create our project circuit easily without doing it in real life..
only a few steps taken and then..bling2!!
our project circuit already done!! ^^
1.access to this software--> search National Instruments

2.search for Multisim--> click on it,you already can access to the software.

3.view the settings at the top,,you'll find many tools box..click on the    "Components" item.

4.once click on it, you'll see the "Select the components" box..there you'll found such items like database,       groups and family..

5. click on database..use "User Database"..click on groups..then choose which groups you prefer such as Basic, Sources, Diodes and Transistors..done with that, choose "Family" items based on whats groups you choose earlier.

6. now..choose which components you want..double-click on it to make it appear on the workspace..put it on which location you want on the workspace..

7. you can rotate its position by clicking the right-click or change its power by double-clicking on it..

8. once done placing all the components  you want, connect them with wires.

9. drag one components to the next component..(wire will automatically form)..then, choose "Grounding" from the "Groups" to ground the circuit.

10. finally, run the circuit by pressing Run button at the top of the page or click the Green "Play" triangle to simulate the circuit..DONE!! ^_^

tutorial on how to use multisim

after finishing Multisim, Mr Redzuan show us how to transfer Multisim to Ultiboard..
with only a click, our 2D project turn into a 3D project..
of course we feel really amazed with it!!
as the tiny objects can be seen clearly in 3D shape using Ultiboard..
how amazing it is!! =)
at the same time, it make me feel more excited to explore more about this course..

~Mr Redzuan explains to us about Multisim.~

~our masterplan in making circuit using multisim~

~taraa!! results that we get from the activity..=) ~

how we feel so amazed seeing that..
if you all can see LED on the circuit, it will light up and blink in red colour when we connect all the wires and close the circuit.

                             ~results when multisim(2D) turn into ultiboard(3D)..soo cutee~

before end the class, Dr Kamal has come and give us some advices and guidances on how to make a good blog..I only got 20 marks from my first attempt (blog)..and I will try to improve my next entry..=)

                                                          ~software that we use..=) ~

that's all that I can tell you right now about Multisim and Ultiboard..
see you soon!! ^_^
